I realised this morning that I’d left out an useful bit of kit when discussing my watercolours.
Here is my enamelled palette.
(It’s ok – I’m lucky enough to have got mine when it didn’t cost the earth!) At present it contains quite a lot of paint, as I had been experimenting with using it as my main paintbox.
The jury’s out really, but I think in future I’ll be using it as an ‘extra’ palette to accompany my mini travel paintbox.
Probably I’ll be packing it in a plastic bag, or even a large pencil case, surrounded with kitchen paper (to absorb surplus wet paint) and bubble wrap, as the corners are relatively sharp, so rip an ordinary plastic bag to shreds!
