I’ve always loved looking at series of shapes, be it whole buildings, terraces, rooftops, fields or whatever! One doesn’t have to be regarding the magnificent Italian mountaintop villages  to enjoy a fascinating and intricately patterned scene, arranged around the contours like a beautiful necklace. The humblest row of one-up/one-down cottages can become a thing of breathtaking beauty … and much closer to home! Here the wonderful clear Tiree light; the endlessly fascinating vernacular architecture of this island; together with a flash of sunshine lighting up the fields against a rich dark sky – all combine to catch the eye.
