Brian and his ladies supply delicious fresh free range eggs on the tiny island of Berneray, North Uist. Available from Ardmaree Stores, just up the road from the ferry slipway, or even better ‘from the door’ at the Passing Place Gallery, Rushgarry, Berneray, they’re really good!
Brian’s wonderful ‘fly-away’ Tail feathers provided perfect inspiration for an impasto knife painting, so I had fun painting his portrait. Yes, I know John paints in watercolour, rather than using impasto techniques, but I couldn’t resist showing you his wonderful paintings of birds!
