This was the end result of a commissioned piece taking quite a while to complete, painted on canvas in acrylic in the studio, from references including photographs and sketches made on location.
Numerous obstacles presented themselves, not least being the imposition of a total ban of countryside visitor footfall during the foot and mouth epidemic!
However, I was really pleased with the end result, as it takes me back to this lovely spot near Cockermouth, in the Northern Lakes, Cumbria, when I look at it!
