A brief sketch of the ‘Spotty House’ at Balephetrish, Tiree, as seen from below. The roadside undergrowth here is spectacular – lots of interesting painting material for a future visit!
Grasses and Wild Plants offer wonderful, though complex subject matter. I very much like the approach taken to painting flowers and plants ‘in situ’ by this excellent artist, although myself I’m more attracted to wild plants rather than the cultivated variety. Perhaps this artist has the most obviously suitable approach – I certainly like her results!
Wild plants have always fascinated me, so this subject seems to be well worth some extra study, and I’m very much looking forward to it!
